There was a video being shared on Facebook of an MRI scan of an airway being opened. I wanted to share it with you all but the video by itself was only posted to Facebook and not YouTube for easy sharing. I did find it attached to an advertisement for a new manakin so you can see it here:

I also found this other video showing how an airway opens with the different skills. When you look at this video, know that the person is laying with the top of the head to the left side and the line you see is the jaw bone.

The chinlift and jaw extension very important in emergency situation especially in time of giving cpr to opening airways

To opening airways these maneuver will changes the position of mandible anteriorly lifting the tongue and epiglottis from glotties opening

Pressing on the bone 2cm up the angle of jaw and below the ear may wake up the patient because it is painful and lifting the chin and pulling it forward even witha central neck position to open the airways.

It also help to prevent from spine injury during head injury.
