Disaster management include mitigation, preparedness, response and recovery. A community health nurse had specific role in the management of disaster.

There are some preparations taken by the nurse include participate in the trial or demo classes. Then study about the geographical structure of the community. Then as a preparation the nurse also had the role in teaching the people about the trials and mokk.

Immediate response after the disaster occurs include catagories the causalities according to triage and provide necessary care such as first aid to the casualities. This will help in reducing the number of death due to diaster.

The recovery phase include the further treatment to avoid complications and disabilities. Rehabilitation of causalities are also the role of nurses.
