Windshield survey is an informal survey in which health professional or group of health professionals drive around a community or an area where they are researching. They also notice and record their observations from the survey of that area or community. It can be a visual overview of particular areaa or community.

It helps the health professionals to analyse the community interms of health conditions, health services, health resources and other health related information of community or area.
