Leptospirosis.
* Leptospirosis or weil's disease is a communicable disease caused by Leptospira
interrogans.
Pathophysiology.
* Leptospira enter into the human body through cuts on the skin when
direct contact with urine of the infected animal ( eg ; Rats,Pig,Sheep etc)
or indirect contact with contaminated food or water by urine of infected animal
or infected urine droplets.
* After enter into the blood it multiply and causes damges in blood vessel wall.
* Then it transmit to other organs in the body (eg; Liver,kidney,muscle etc) which
results in major symptoms of leptospirosis.
Complications of leptospirosis.
* Renal failure.
* Hepatitis.
* Myocarditis.
* Haemorrhage.
* Thrombocytopenia.
