Metabolic Alkalosis

It is a condition in which the pH value of tissue increases above 7 due to a decrease in the concentration of H+ ions.

Hypokalemia

It is a condition in which the levels of the potassium decreases.

Now, talking about the relationship of metabolic alkalosis and hypokalemia-

Hypokalemia regulates the metabolic alkalosis by different mechanism that results in the increase in the concentration of H+ ions. Generally, Hyperkalemia reduces the levels of proximal tubule ammonia which directed to the impaired ammonia excretion and causes metabolic acidosis.
