The truth of the matter is that "health facts" can change over time. To keep up with changing "health facts", doctors attend educational meetings regularly.
-20 decades ago it was believed that intake of more sugar will cause diabetes and even still some believe the same and but it have proved that how much ever sugar you take you wont be diabetic until the insulin production of the body fails or decreases due to certain other reasons.
-Twenty years ago, stress and certain personality traits were considered "ulcer causing". For decades, medical students were told that acid caused ulcers. "No acid, no ulcer" claimed many professors. Hence numerous medications and antacids were developed to either neutralize or decrease acid in the stomach. In the past ten years, scientists found that factors that weaken the inner stomach lining (cigarettes and arthritis medications) may be more important than stress and acid in causing ulcers. Now scientists have discovered that in many instances, ulcer is an infectious disease. This infection is caused by a bacteria H.pylori that can be found in stomachs of some half of the adult world population! Instead of fighting acids, medical scientists are now busy developing antibiotic combinations to treat ulcers.
30 decades ago the TB was only know to affect the lungs and now the condition can affect any part of the body like spine , lumph nodes etc

-For thousands of years, medical practitioners clung to the belief that sickness was merely the result of a little “bad blood.” To restore bodily harmony, their doctor would simply cut open a vein and drain some of their vital fluids into a receptacle. In some cases, leeches were even used to suck the blood directly from the skin. But this is not the present case and now the fever is just a symptom and the possible route needed to be identified by history ,physical examinations and investigations and in some case the fever is being treated when they could not find out the actual cause.

Each new evolvemt has its own time period since it have evolved and even now the researchers are going own with inturn brings lots of change in the medical care and service and the method of oractice
