YES, Chronic inflammation can lead to cancer formation.When you have chronic inflammation , your body's inflammatory response can eventually start damaging healthy cells,tissues and organs. Over time, this can lead to DNA damage, tissue death and internal scarring.

Some of the examples where chronic inflammation which leads to cancer are, autoimmune disorders like ulcerative colitis or crohn's disease can cause chronic inflammation in the gut and increases the risk for colon cancer.

In short ,we can say that chronic inflammation favours carcinogenesis.
