Gestational Diabetes most characterized as type 1 or type 2 diabetes and why

Homework Answers

Answer #1

Answer. The gestational diabetes is the form of diabetes acquired during pregnancy only.

In type 1 diabetes, the body can't make insulin from early stages of life. It is treated with outside insulin doses.

In type 2 diabetes, there is insufficiency and affects the elder people. Women develops Gestational diabetes during pregnancy, but it is treated with medications in long terms.

The possibile reason of having gestational diabetes is that the women might have type 2 diabetes before which 1went unrecognised. Or it can come in later years, after pregnancy.

So, gestational diabetes doesn't exactly belongs to type 1 or type 2 diabetes. But when there is a closet approach to any, the type 2 diabetes will be diagnosed.
