The Consensus Model for APRN, LACE is a uniform regulatory model for advanced practice nursing designed for the alignment of interrelationships of licensure, accreditation, certification, and education (LACE). The NCSBN (National Council of State Boards of Nursing), APRN Advisory Committee and the APRN Consensus Work Group developed this model in 2008 for regulatory purposes. LACE stands for the four pillars of regulation licensure, accreditation, certification, and education.
