He is allergic to shrimp. He is a nonsmoker. He lives with his wife and two sons.

He is on a renal, low sodium, low cholesterol diet.

He is positive for clostridium difficile.

He suffered a stroke while he was in the hospital and now has left sided weakness.

Wear slip-resistant socks and asking for help before getting out of bed.

advise him to Avoid using unsteady items (such as IV poles and bedside tables) when getting out of bed.

make him wear an identification bracelet.

To allow for movement in a wheelchair, furniture may need to be moved and thick rugs may need to be replaced.

Pathways should be clear of clutter and electrical cords

provide gait training

put side rails of the bed for unnecessary falls from bed
