Steps for preparing document for scanning

Prepping the document means preparing the paper documents for scanning. As everyone knows, paper jams are no fun.Remove staples, paper clips, sticky notes (or tape them down so they can be scanned too); repair torn pages; and sort into batches.

Do not use highlighters. Since our imaging equipment does not pick up color.

Do not staple receipts. Staples cause damage to the glass plates in our scanners.

Please do not use glue sticks for securing receipts to scratch paper. Cellophane tape only.
