Now as far as adage is concerned it seems to me that the head Wainwright has carelessly misplaced it(1 to lose), so in this situation one would be inclined to carry out an investigation and fire the Wainwright, but situation in hand requires to get the job completed first.Thereby i think we should go with option D. Order the missing part for now and verbally warn him to be careful from there on.
