Psychrometrics is the field of engineering concerned with the physical and thermodynamic properties of gas-vapor mixtures.

under airconditioning certain porportion of air is recirculated while remaining air is freshly admitted into the system and cooling coil. with the study of phychrometry only ,the temperature humidity amount of water vapour in air is maintained as per requirement and energy trasfer with ventilation air both sensible and latent can be calculated.
