The blade velocity is 46% of the jet velocity. The turbine has a hydraulic efficiency of 85% (i.e. nozzles included). The friction across the buckets is 6% from entry to exit.

Sketch the vector diagram showing all details. Calculate:

  1. The bucket outlet angle.   ANS: +/- 29.115˚
