Not to forget , loss coefficient in sudden expansion and sudden contraction pipes. Last but not least , we compare the losses of energy that can obtain through head losses in different configuration of pipes.

The energy loss in pipe can be determined by various experimental setup. I can explain two experimental setup for finding the energy losses in a straight pipe. total loss include major ( friction )andminor losses ( due to pipe fittings ,change in flow direction and area.
