.The objectives of this experiment are firstly , identifying the loss of head due to friction in incompressible flow in a horizontal pipe. Next , to determine the friction factor of a pipe that van be find on the slope. To determine the loss of head in sudden expansion and sudden contraction of pipes . Not to forget , loss coefficient in sudden expansion and sudden contraction pipes. Last but not least , we compare the losses of energy that can obtain through head losses in different configuration of pipes.
DETERMINE AND EXPLAIN , 2 OR 3 IMPROVEMENT SUGGESTIONS FOR EXPERIMENT ENERGY LOSSES IN PIPES AND FITTING .
The energy loss in pipe can be determined by various experimental setup. I can explain two experimental setup for finding the energy losses in a straight pipe. total loss include major ( friction )andminor losses ( due to pipe fittings ,change in flow direction and area.
From the above setup and experimental arrangements , energy losses could be determined.
