The Continuous Spectrum is the wave or some set of values occurred in continuous manner that means without a breakage.

Whereas the Discrete Spectrum is may be the set of values as of the continuous, But there is a positive gap between the values that occurred.

The best example of the continuous spectrum is the emission of the excited atoms of hydrogen may be the stars,sun any atom.This mainly occurs for the free particles like the star and sun.

When there is a particle considered within a limited space it's spectrum becomes Discrete.
