Name 2 applications where the flammability of a polymer fabric would be a concern.

Homework Answers

Answer #1

The flammability of polymer fabric is majorly a big concern for Textile and Automobile industries.

polymer fabric like nylon captured a large portion of Industrial yarn and fabrics such as wall ropes, belts, tire cords and then in household use such as sarees, swimming costumes etc.

The lightweight of plastics made a vehicle more fuel-efficient. It is calculated that 10% reduction in vehicle weight causes in a 5% to 7% reduction in fuel usage.

That's why the flammability is now a major concern in these two fields of application.
