Can machinig processes in manufacturing be used to produce complex shapes in lager quantities

Homework Answers

Answer #1

Yes, it can be used to produce complex shape in large quantity. But it is highly dependent on the shape and size of the product. If the size of product is too large then machining such product will take more time than other processes. Also, complexity of the product can only determine that it can be manufactired through machining or not. If the product is too much complex and having very small details then conventional machining cannot be used. It requires unconventional machining like, laser beam cutting, electron beam evaopration, plasma cutting, etc.

In this chapter, we learned that the computing and reporting of payroll are very complex processes. Some companies choose to handle these computations and the associated reporting internally while other companies prefer to outsource these payroll functions to a third party. Answer the following questions: Research a payroll processing/outsourcing firm. Report the name of the firm and describe some of the functions this firm can perform for a company. Include a link to the firm's website. Based on what you've...
