Methane gas (CH4) enters the combustion chamber of a gas turbine at 77°F, 40 lbf/in2 and a molar flow rate of 1.7 lbmol/h and burns completely with air entering at 300°F, 40 lbf/in2. The combustion products leave the combustion chamber at T3 = 1420oF, 40 lbf/in2. The gas turbine operates adiabatically at steady state and air can be modeled as 21% O2 and 79% N2 on a molar basis.

Determine the percent of theoretical air required.
