A primary datum reference including an MMC modifier requires the datum feature to be simulated at its MMC. Generally, in this situation we consider the worst case boundary as it's limit. But, in most of the cases MMC is the worst case material boundary limit.

A secondary datum reference including an MMC modifier requires the datum feature to be simulated at its VC or Virtual Condition. Here the case is imaginary. It won't acractua exist. So, it is called Virtual condition.
