A centrifugal pump impeller has an imbalance mass of 10 Kg. The centrifugal impeller foundation has the following damping ratio and stiffness coefficient values of 0.05 and 4500 N/m respectively. The mass of impeller is 190Kg. Determine the radial location of then imbalance for pump vibration amplitude of 0.1 at resonance. In order to 50% reduce the vibration of pump also calculate the how much mass be added to the pump impeller.
