where to install valves and filters in a pump network

where to install valves and filters in a pump network

Homework Answers

Answer #1

Filters are installed just below the pump inlet and above the reservoir. The purpose of the filter is, to filter the fluid which is taken from the reservoir and after filtering the fluid all the undissolved impurities gets filtered and pure form of fluid enters into the pump so that the pump will work effectively. We can also install the filters before the fluid is entering any critical component for proper working of system.

Valves are devices that are used to control the flow and direction of flow of fluid . The valves are installed after the pump and before the reciprocating cylinders or the actuators . The direction control valve changes the direction of flow entering into the cylinder and also for the flow Coming out of it. Check valves are installed before the directional control valve to control the flow before entering into it. The valves also prevent the back flow into the system and also regulates the pressure.
