Answer #1

sterio lithography is based on X-ray to achieve high aspect ratios as high as 100. Polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA) is a vinyl polymer sensitive to X rays.Strerio lithography is used to manufacture micro components in polymers like acrylic glass by electrplating it. PMMA is attached to substrate. Absorbed energy side gradually decreases in depth direction of transparent polymer.

Parallel side walls can be processes with very high accuracy

Side walls are having high surface finish, encouraging its optical usages.

In addition to thermal energy, one can also use photons to impart energy to Si so that some electrons from the valence band can jump over to the conduction band. What is the maximum wavelength of the light that can be used to excite an electron from the valence band to the conduction band of Si at 300K? The same electrons can fall back to the valence band giving out the energy as radiation. Calculate the wavelength of the light...
