How do you count the vlanece electrons for for [Fe(CO)4]2-? I cannot figure out how to get 16 or 18 using the donor pair method or the netural ligand method. For some reason I cannot figure out electron counting, depsite watching videos. In the exmplaes it all makes sense, until I try to do one on my own. Anyways, using the donor pair method, the COs would contribute 2e- each, so 8e- total. Then iron would be in the -2...

I cannot figure out what I've done wrong. I cannot get the answer that they say is correct. I took the variable cost of 68,000/23,000 units to come up with $2.96 variable cost per unit. Then I calculated indifference point: $2.96 x 23,000 units + 40,000 fixed cost = X x 23,000 units + 20,000 68,080 + 20,000/23,000 = $3.83 Where have I gone wrong?   Thanks Part P40 is a part used in the production of air conditioners at Jackson...

Consider the set of all ordered pairs of real numbers with standard vector addition but with scalar multiplication defined by  k(x,y)=(k^2x,k^2y). I know this violates (alpha + beta)x = alphax + betax, but I'm not for sure how to figure that out? How would I figure out which axioms it violates?

How could I mathematically prove these statements? 1.If the difference of two numbers is even then so is their sum. 2. If a sum of several numbers is odd, then at least one of the numbers is itself odd. 3. If a square number is even then so is its square root.

f(x)= -4x/ x^2+4 i think i found the first dervivative: f'(x)= (4x^2-16)/(x^2+4)^2 but im not sure if thats right and then i get confused after that on how i find the critical numbers: x=____ i think i got x=2 for the critical number then i am supposed to find where it is increasjng and decreasing and i dont understand the steps on how to find that out- i understand the number line but how do you plug in the numbers...

I have a 6 sided die with the numbers 1, 2, 3, 3, 4, 5 on it. I also have a hat filled with numbers. When I pick a number out of the hat, I get a number between 1 and 10. The hat number has a mean of 2 and a standard deviation of 2.5. I make a new random variable by combining these two previous random variables. The new random variable is made by taking the number I...
