I want to draw a triangle ABC. For this I have one side of length 5cm (assume). Use scale and draw exactly 5cm line which is base name it as AB of length 5cm. Here you can take this lenght using compass to draw an arc from the line of one point A and repeat it from point B with same length and draw an arc (where we have one arc existed from point A) over the other arc,and we will get one mid point where two arcs are conside with each other name it as C.

Here you have to draw a straight line from point to A to point C also from point B to C.

Then you will get one traingle ABC of length 5cm on each side.

Therefore the resultant traingle is equilateral triangle of each side of a lenght is equal that is AB=BC=CA. And angles also equal is angle of(ABC=BCA=CAB).
