The other day, while riding my bike, I was forced to stop quickly to avoid a squirrel in the middle of the road 60 feet ahead. I decelerated at a constant rate of 15 ft/sec2, skidding all the way. One second into the slide, my trip computer said I was going 27 ft/sec. How far did I skid before stopping? Did I avoid hitting the squirrel? Round to the nearest hundredth.
