I understand in 2 ways
i) If the Given problem is
2x(3x^2)
Remove parantheses:
2x * 3x2
Multiply the numbers 2 * 3 = 6
= 6x2x
= 6x2+1 [ Apply exponent rule: xa * xb = xa+b ]
= 6x3
Therefore 2x(3x2 ) = 6x3
ii) If the Given problem is
2x(3x)2
= 2x (32 *x2 ) [Apply exponent rule: (x * y)a = xa * ya ]
= 2x * 9 x2 [ Apply exponent rule x2 = x * x => 32 = 3 *3 = 9 ]
= 18x2x [ Multiply numbers 9*2 = 18]
= 18 x2+1 [ Apply exponent rule: xa * xb = xa+b ]
= 18x3
Therefore 2x(3x)2 = 18x3.
If the problem is not that please upload question properly
