Homework Answers

Answer #1

Solution:

Length of room=3 yards

Width of room= 3 yards

Height of room=2 yards

Volume of room=length*width*height

Volume of room=3*3*2=18 yard3 -------------------------------------------- (1)

Volume of 1 card=128 ft3

But 27 ft3=1 yard3

So, 1 ft3=(1/27) yard3

So, Volume of 1 card=128*(1/27) yard3

Volume of 1 card=4.74 yard3 ---------------------------- (2)

So, Number of card=(Volume of room)/(Volume of 1 card)

Number of cards=(18/4.74)=3.8

Taking nearest integral value

Number of cards=4
