b)The number of cases of a highly contagious disease as a function of days since it was first detected.

b) in this situation linear model is not appropriate . because highly contagious disease is spread as multiplied factored .for example 2 to 4 , 4 to 8 , 8 to 16 (number of cases ) , . in this situation exponential models are appropriate.

c)in this situation linear model is appropriate in limited domain. because the length of fish is proportional to age . upto a certain age and after that length is constant . so upto a limit (limited domain) the linear model is appropriate and after that constant model is appropriate.
