Homework Answers

Answer #1

Let's consider "x" be the number of peanut bars the pack originally contain.

He ate 1/3 of the contents immediately.

i.e. x/3-----------(1)

Therefore the number of bars left are (2x/3).

Out of which he gave 20 pieces to his sister Aileen.

Therefore the number of bars left are (2x/3-20)= (2x-60)/3

out of (2x-60)/3 he ate 1/2 of the bars and still have 25 peanut bars lest.

This implies,

Hence the number of peanut bars the pack originally contains are 105 bars.
