It is given that,

It is written that f(t) means f depends upon t, it means f is independent of y means y is a constant.

Also [0,2] becomes interval of t

According to the given equation, I am solving it-

To find maximum and minimum values

Now we need to look the values of y which are not given and we need to check value of f(t) at boundries also, So check values of f(t) where f'(t)=0 and at boundaries.
