Perimeter of the triangluar flower bed P = a+b+c = 19

Given a=b

c = b+4

2b+b+4 = 19

b = 5

a = 5

c = 9

2) A class project can be completed by 3 students in 32 days.

3 * 32 = 96 days
Let s = no, of additional students required to do in 8 days.

8(s+3) = 96

divide both side by 8

S + 3 = 12

S = 12 - 3 = 9

S = 9 more students required.

3) " Dorothy is 6 years older than Ricardo = d = r +6

product of there present age is twice what the product of their ages was 6 year agi = d*r = 2(d-6) ( r-6)

( r+6)*r = 2 ( r+6-6)(r-6)

(r+6)*r = 2r(r-6)
r+6 = 2(r-6)
r+6 = 2r-12

6+12 = 2r -r  

18 = r

Ricardo is 18 years old
d = r + 6 = 18 + 6 = 24

Dorothy is 24 years old.
