graph the following sinusoidal curve. include at least two cycles

determine the period, phase shift, amplitude, midline, domain, and range

y=-3sin(2x+π)

Homework Answers

Answer #1

Given; y=-3sin(2x+π) we have to plot its graph and also have to find the value of amplitude, period, phase shift, domain, range and midline.

general equation for sine, y=Asin(B(x-c)+D

where |A|= amplitude

period is 2π/B

phase shift( horizontal)=C

verticle shift=D

domain is all real number for sine function

range is [minimum value of y, maximum value of y]

midline is of sin function ia parallel to x-axis about which value of function oscillates.

the graph of above sine function is as follow and on comaring given sine function to the genral function we can find period, phase shift, amplitude, domain, range, midline.
