Two chemicals, A and B, react to form a chemical C such that every gram of C is made up of 2 parts A and 3 parts B. The rate of formation of C is directly proportional to the remaining amounts of A and B.

If initially there are 60g of both A and B and after 3 minutes there's 25g of C how long until 50g of C are formed?

Hint: for each part C, the amount of A that is left is given by (60 − 2C/5) and the amount of B that is left is given by (60 − 3C/5).

From this you should get that the DE is

dC/dt=k(60 − 2C/5)(60 − 3C/5)
