Let the amount of first powder be x mg and of second powder is y mg.
Then acc. to question,
for vitamin B1
10%x + 15%y= 70=> 10x + 15y = 7000.............(1)
for vitamin B2
30%x+ 20%y = 180=> 30x + 20y = 18000............(2)
Multiplying (1) by 3 we get
30x+45y=21000...........(3)
Subtracting (2) from (3) , we get
25y = 3000
y= 120
Putting this value in (1) , we get
x= (7000- 1800)/10
=> x = 520
Therefore, we need to take 520 mg of powder 1 and 120 mg of powder 2 to get the required amount of vitamins in the mixture.
