Homework Answers

Answer #1

The CORRECT STATEMENT would be The djia is an excellent broad based measure of the general stock market.

The statement “ The djia consists of stocks that constitute more than 50% of all publicly traded stocks” is FALSE because dow jones industrial average considers or tracks only 30 large, publicly-owned blue chip companies trading on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) and the NASDAQ. So to say that the DJIA consists of stocks which constitute more that 50% of all publicly traded companies  would be INCORRECT.
