Homework Answers

Answer #1

- Net sales of Store = $18,600,000

Missy denim sales are 3.6% of the store’s sales

i). Net sales in dollar of Miss denim =  (Net sales of Store)*(% of Missy denim sales in store’s sales)

Net sales in dollar of Miss denim = $18,600,000*3.6%

Net sales in dollar of Miss denim = $669,600

ii). Junior denim department sales are $421,300

Junior denim sales percentage to total store sales =  (Junior denim department sales/ Net sales of Store)*100

Junior denim sales percentage to total store sales =($421,300/$18,600,000)*100

Junior denim sales percentage to total store sales = 2.265%
