Tell me about a time when management didn't proceed with your recommendation?

I was working for an IT consulting company where there were multiple projects in different countries. So the work that had to be done comprised of different time zones which forced people to work in multiple shifts. So I proposed the management to give work from home access to people who were working in early-morning shifts or late-night shifts as WFH would allow them little flexibility and also can be used as a cost optimization strategy.

But management was skeptical about the idea and did not proceed due to a lack of infrastructure and cybersecurity issues. They thought that WFH would be endangering their servers and database and they overlooked the cost benefits associated with the WFH due to security reasons.
