President Trump contracted coronavirus

offer your thoughts on how this big news might affect the stock market in the next 2 weeks.

Homework Answers

Answer #1

I think market is highly efficient in order to discount the informations in advance and market is also predicting that this virus is not that lethal and the president will be having the best facility available so he will come out safe and it can be represented in the market as the market has already started to really even if the bad news has just come.

If President Trump has contracted coronavirus, it will mean that the market should have gone down but the market is highly futuristic and forward looking in nature so it is already discounting this coronavirus crisis as we can already see that stocks have already hit 52 week high and they are not stopping so I predict that in next to 2 weeks the stock market will continue to go higher so that there will be rally in the stock market on high optimism and it is an election rally as well.

I expect the market to go up in next two weeks.
