Examples of Mis-selling ;

Suppose Mr x has been sold a Life  insurance policy buy Mr X has no dependents, as he has no children and he has a deceased spouse. This case of selling the insurance to Mr X is mis-selling.

An elderly woman aged 60, who has a very conservative risk taking approach and was a risk averse investor. She was sold a risky investment, which did not match her suitability. This case of selling her a wrong financial product is called mis-selling.

When i have been sold a financial product like a mutual fund scheme or pension schemes which i do not need, just on the basis of misleading then this is also an example of financial mis-selling.
