Changes in Retained Earnings is calculated using the following relationship:
Beginning Retained Earnings (adjusted for prior period loss/gain) + Net Income - Dividend = Ending Retained Earnings
Ending Retained Earnings - Beginning Retained Earnings = Net Income - Dividend
Change in Retained Earnings = Net Income - Dividend
