Question

NPV=-4,300,000+710,000(PVIFA 11.30%, 20)

The answer is NPV=1,243,895.08.

My question is how do I use a financial calculator to get the answer?

Answer #1

I am telling you how to do it in financial calculator
'**BAII Plus Tutorial**'.

First we will calculate the 710,000(PVIFA 11.30%, 20):

Now to find the Net NPV, we can add -4,300,000 to it.

NPV = -4,300,000 + 5543895.08 =
**1,243,895.08**.

I had a quick question on the EAC Computation.
Example:-
NPV: -$284,782.49
PVIFA ( 9%,3)
EAC: -$112,504.68
Now if I happen to put the above values in the financial
calculator, PV = -$284,782.49, I/Y= 9% and N= 3
CPT Payment .
I get it as $112,504.68 ( positive)
So, it gives me a positive value instead of a negative. Now, all I
wanted to know is because this is an outgoing cost are we marking
it as negative or should...
