Invoice is a documents which shows the all details of product with unique serial number but discount is a part of invoicing. In this method the some amount is reduced from the total value of the invoice is called discount. Discount is normally given in percentage method or fixed amount.

So invoicing is a document which is given with product to purchaser of document.

And discount is amount which is reduced from the total invoice value.

Invoice is the main document and discount is a part of the invoice.
