in lay man language There exists generational differences in the organisation where person with poor academics might be in higher position due to his seniority. here there is no relation between academics and work place engagement and whereas a person with higher academics willbe placed in higher positions during initial stages i.e. here it is having a positive correlation.

person with higher academics will be assigned bigger responsibilities in workplace. the hierarchy in the workplace will be designed based on academics.
