Widgets cost $10.00. You need to purchase 5 widgets and the widgets are on sale for Buy 1 Get 1 Free. How much will you spend to purchase 5 widgets.

Homework Answers

Answer #1

If the widgets are on the sale for buy 1 get 1 free, then individual should purchase only 3 widgets and he would get 3 free and total widgets would be 6. (That is more than his requirement of 5).

Compute the amount spent on purchasing 3 widgets using the equation as shown below:

Amount spend = Number of widgets * Price per widget

                        = 3 * $10.00

                       = $30.00

Hence, the amount spend on the purchase of widgets is $30.00.
