When a company wants to acquire another company then they can approach the business to be acquired by sending a mail showing interest in acquisition. It can be followed by research done by a group of executives regarding the financial condition of the firm. This is followrd by a series of meetings where the two companies decide the terms and conditions of the acquisition. Confidentiality is maintained so that there is no competition in the acquisition. The information is made public when the deal has been finalized and both the companies would want to make the information public.
