Answer #1

Mattel is heavily dependent on large retailers like WalMart or Target for a large portion of its sales. In Financial year 2015, about 48% of Mattel’s net sales contributed by the Mattel top 10 largest customers. Such over dependence on a few retailers case business risks results in low Mattel’s bargaining power. Counterfeit and duplicate products of Mattel has created many popular global brands ,thus there is the high volume of counterfeit and duplicate products of the popular brands like Barbie and Hot Wheels. Such products are especially abundant in China. A presence of such products in the market will affects the brand image and impacts revenue.

when it comes to financial health with low bargaining power and EPS in fy 2019 is negative, revenue in past 5 years are keeps on declining. company is struggling with their financials.
