Distributive process- This is a negotiation strategy in which fixed resources are divided between the parties. This is a competitive strategy and resources are fixed. When the relationship between parties does not have high priority then distributive negotiation is used. In this process, relationship is not taken on high priority. It is for self interest only

Integrative process- It is a collaborative strategy in which resources are not fixed. When the relationship between parties has high priority and develop a long term relationship with each party then integrative process is used. In this process, relationship is on high priority.It is for mutual interest and a win win situation.
