You are employed by an organisation as a bookkeeper and have been asked to create a strategic plan to guide the organisation through the next five years. You consider this to be outside your brief as a bookkeeper and after consulting with the management find they have no one else they believe capable of creating or coordinating the development of the strategic plan. The organisation’s management accept creating a strategic plan is not a part of a bookkeeper’s duties, so have asked you to locate somebody who will be able to create a plan on their behalf.

A strategic plan can only be created by an individual who has sufficient knowledge and previous knowledge about creating business plans. What is also required would be a thorough understanding of the industry and the product which needs to be strategized. So the suggestion would be to choose a managerial expert who shall be well versed with the focal points. However, for cross-referencing, a scholar most probably an academic influencer could also be used so as to provide a foolproof plan about the strategic plan.
