Answer #1

Types of Needs in Marketing

  1. Stated
  2. Real
  3. Unstated
  4. Delight
  5. Secret

For example a customer wants to buy a new house. If he wants something like an expensive one , there he stated his need. When the customer wants a house as a genuine need like he wants it because of low cost for that particular house in an inflation period , that is his real need. While buying this house the buyer expects a good service from the broker there he unstated his need. When the customer doesn't express that he would want something but would like to have it anyway, for he would like to reduce the cost of the asset than already fixed that is his delight need. When the customer wants a house only as a status symbol or its his prestigious issue in front of his relatives or friends, there he shows his secret needs.
